Implement FreeRadius on a web server and authenticate it against an existing WordPress user database for users in their clinics to gain access to the local WiFi Hotspot.
The problem came about when we were trying to authenticate users using PHP since the documentation on this was fairly limited/non-existent. Not to mention that we needed a way to authenticate users on a WordPress salted database, externally.
Thanks to a Stack Overflow article, we were able to get our feet on the ground running. We then worked side by side with HitLab and were able to finalize the project with amazing looking WiFi Hotspot Gateway that is integrated with a WordPress user database.
Let it be known that there is no task that we at Media Cause find impossible! Even if we don’t have the skill set for it, we will pick up a book (Google it), learn about it and implement it! This time it was no different when one of our clients, Global Healthy Living Foundation, requested for us to integrate their WordPress user database with FreeRadius and Cisco WAP to create a WiFi hotspot for their clinics.
